On Teaching:

I have always held a huge amount of respect for teachers, of all fields and specialties. As a child, most of my most important influences came from teachers. I understand the power that teachers have through both personal and second-hand experiences. A teacher can motivate a student who would otherwise fall to the waste side. They can show an individual their own potential and open a student’s eyes to a whole new world. A teacher also has the power to bring their student down and stunt their growth. I believe that teachers must understand their unique position and never take for granted the opportunities they are given.

As a teacher, my goal is always to reach a student at their level and help them discover the best way to actively progress. Depending on the situation, there is no universal way to teach applied lessons or convey information in lectures. I believe teaching must be tailored to each situation for the mutual benefit of students and teachers. While my standards of learning are high and I expect students to demonstrate interest and motivation to learn, it is also integral that teachers show the same interest and willingness to adapt.

Lesson options

Lessons are available in 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute lengths. The length of lesson is evaluated based on each student’s age, level, and goals. I am currently located in Lighthouse Point, Florida, but am available to teach virtually. I have taught many different students with varying needs and schedules and there is almost always a way to make unique situations and goals work. For example, I have taught towards specific goals (learning a a favorite piece or genre) as well as working around busy work and extra-curricular schedules. Please be in contact with any or all questions.
